Motorized Incursion Form
Please use this form to report any illegal use of motorized vehicles that you encounter while in the backcountry.
Occasionally, hikers encounter illegal use of motorized vehicles—motorcycles, off-road vehicles or 4-wheel-drive vehicles—in the backcountry. It’s important to document these incidents, whether it’s a vehicle entering wilderness or motorized recreation on a non-motorized trail. Please use this form to report illegal use of motorized vehicles you encounter in the backcountry.
Washington Trails Association created this form in an effort to help land mangers better track illegal motorized activity in the backcounty. If you have an encounter with what you believe to be unauthorized vehicles on or off a trail, please provide us with information on that encounter When appropriate, we will pass these details along to the proper authorities. WTA will gather data from these forms and will summarize the results in a report to inform land managers of the extent of the problem. If you have questions about your encounter, or this form, please contact WTA advocacy director Jonathan Guzzo at (206) 625-1367 or jonathan@wta.org.
