Bruce

I feel very fortunate to be able to spend time in the amazing Cascades, both in winter on skis and in summer in hiking boots. My ideal hike is steep, say 3000-3500' gain over 4 miles in, with a scenic place for a delicious lunch -- usually a summit but, on hot days, a swimmable lake. I am also thankful for this website and its contributors who provide so much inspiration and practical data. It's one of the best examples of technology helping us to enjoy the real world.
