My wife and I relocated from Indianapolis, IN to Pierce County, WA in mid-2008. What a change.
We'd never been much into hiking back in Indy. In the PNW, how can you NOT be? We're out at least every other weekend in the spring, summer, and fall. We prefer hiking on our backyard neighbor, Mt. Rainier - but enjoy day hikes just about anywhere within a 4 to 5 hour drive from home.
