Has anyone ever noticed that the most monumental ideas of the human experience happened 'in the wild'? Just look at the worlds major religions as a starting place and you'll see what I mean - prophets dig the peace and quit that is the out-of-doors.
Now - I am not a prophet - but exploring a ridge, ravine, or river gives me a taste of why so much of human history has revolved around a relationship with nature.
