Why You Should Go Now
Wildflowers blooming
Ripe berries
Temperatures were perfect today for the climb up Granite Mountain. It is steep, but not unbearable, although a hotter day might have swayed my thinking on that (much of the trail is exposed, with no shade). This hike offers amazing views for most of the trail and is especially rewarding at the top. The trail is rather rugged, with large rocks creating obstacles for much of the way.
