Muddy but beautiful hike. No snow. Took the detour to the falls. Only ran into a couple of groups of people. Falls looked terrific. First time we've done the hike and will definitely do it again.
If you're considering doing this with kids - which we are - there are a couple of exposed spots. 10+ yrs old would be fine.
