Type of Outing
Day hike
Old Robe Canyon
Region: North Cascades -- Mountain Loop Highway
Avg Rating: 2.00
Why You Should Go Now
  • Fall foliage
Be Aware Of
  • Mud/Rockslide
The trail is in decent shape, but there is a slide short of Tunnel #1 which is also marked by a trail-closed sign. It prevented us from passing since only the most sure-footed dogs will be able to get through it. We stopped there and turned around.

Thanks for the report. FYI, Tunnel #1 in Robe Canyon doesn't have any trail access, and it isn't on the Old Robe Trail anyway. You must be referring to Tunnel #6. That slide has been there for quite some time now (couple years?), forcing the closure of the Old Robe Trail at that point unfortunately.
