I took an afternoon hike in Cowiche Canyon today. The fall color is a bit past, but it was still very nice. The sumac is almost all gone & the water birch are a burnt orange & losing their leaves, but there is still nice color in the red osier dogwood & wild rose and the few cottonwoods in the canyon are at their peak. The afternoon was sunny & mild.

Yes, if that's past prime I'd really like to see prime! Thanks for sharing. That unfinished bridge abutment in the first photo- I did the trail a couple years ago and noticed it was in the same state. Do you know of any plans to finish that bridge?
