Perfect day for the hot springs. Park at Observation Point (road closed about 1.5 miles from trailhead). The road before the trailhead has patches of snow and ice and a washout. Once on the trail, its packed snow and ice all the way to the springs. The approach to and over Crystal Creek is very steep and icy so beware! Overall, the hike to the springs is well worth it. Snowshoes are overkill but yaktrax are definitely recommended. Little under two hours up, about the same returning.
I credit "Touring Washington and Oregon Hot Springs" By Jeff Birkby (search on google books for preview) which has great information on Olympic Hot Springs. It describes perfectly the approximate locations of all 7 springs.
FYI! The last spring is far and away the best (and only one we actually dipped in). It was approximately 106 degrees and even has a cold creek running right next to it that can be diverted into the spring for temperature regulation and for washing off after...
