Why You Should Go Now
  • Wildflowers blooming
Went a mile up the IB to the first creek (N. Fk. of Bear). Though not visible at first, if you stay on the west side of the creek, and not too close to it, you should find a hunter's trail. Follow that for about a mile until it peters out then head uphill. My goal was to hit the County Line Trail directly south of Miller Peak, but I guess I veered too far left and ended up just above the saddle where the MP trail gets above the trees and you can see both west and east. The going was strenuous, but I found a lot of deer trails to follow. No snow on MP trail, but it seems like the trail is getting torn up by the allowance of motorbikes (aka multiple abuse).
