The road from Stehekin to Cottonwood campground is washed out in two places - just north of High Bridge and just east of Cottonwood. A good trail has been completed around the first of these. A WTA work crew and the North Cascades NP crew have been working hard to finish the second. Hikers coming over Cascade Pass from Sahalee reported thick overgrowth and bears on their way to Cottonwood.
