  • Snow on trail
Aspired to go up and down Tenerife and then run down and do the same at Si. Daylight savings, too much Halloween imbibing, and my poor fitness prevented that, though. Parked at the Tenerife trailhead and jogged up to the end of the road at the saddle. It was gorgeous but cooling by late afternoon. Only a few down trees and nothing requiring special negotiation. An inch of snow remained at the top on the north sides and it was great to feel that crunch below the feet again. Didn't see a quick/easy way to the summit so ran back down and hit the trail over to Si. Figured I might as well knock out the haystack so scrambled up though it was a bit slick. Run down was fine though I wondered about some folks heading up while the sun was setting. Hope they had headlamps. The jog back up the road between parking lots was a slog but just what the doctor ordered.
