Arrived at Baker Lake trailhead at 10 am. There were no cars in the lot. All that was there was a little pile of snow from a scooped lot. A signed posted at the trailhead said Hidden Creek Bridge out at 1.75 miles. I decided to head there anyway, because I thought it would be a little more difficult and more interesting than the river trail. My dog and I crossed a over the river. The bridge was a great suspension bribge, very cool. The trail along the way less interesting, though I did manage to see two bald eagle flying above and spooked up a covey of quail along the trail. There were several minor bridges washed out, but totally passable. No snow on the trail at all and limited muddy spots. The lake was pretty dried up. Infact we had lunch in the middle of the dried lake bed. My dog and I reached Hidden Creek to see the damage. It was major. No crossing really at any point, unless your very gutsy. It was a short quiet hike that served its purpose, to get me out and active. I was hoping for little more difficult trek, but I had a beautiful time just enjoying some great views and solitude amonest the mountains. I did not see a single soul the whole time, not even a car on the road until I reached Hwy 20.
