Left the trailhead around 8am with sunny skies which became overcast later in the morning. The trail is in excellent condition with easy creek crossings. Hit snow and ice the last quarter mile-put on the yaktrax. Very windy at the lake, which is mostly frozen. Beautiful day in the mountains!
