Super bowl Sun.-a super day to go hiking. The day started with breakfast at the Sultan Bakery with a few friends. For some of us it was too much food to finish if we wished to keep up--there were some that we were trying to bloat to slow them down.We meet the rest of the "hikers" at the trailhead at 9:30. What little rain we had on the way to Sultan had now stopped. It would not get as sunny as I expected but you take what is given and we all know that any day on the trail is great and sometimes even better because you are not carrying in tools. A last minute check around Mike's car confirmed that we would be empty handed. This trail has been worked by WTA and is in excellent shape.
We decided on this trail because of its distance and ease of walkiing. It did not disappoint. Along the way we talked about the many good times we had out here--even though it was not Thur.,We TAlk Alot. Along the way a few people went where they had not been before but eventually we all made it to the lake.
We moged about while having lunch. We must have stopped before the best spot on the lake as there was no one else here. Lots of people passed us going in.
After lunch we headed out and even more people were coming in. WOW! This trail is busy-I think there were at least 20 other people out today. A fine time on the trail. Thanks to all. Let's get our boots sometime. Dick
