Type of Outing
Day hike
This is a short hike on the property of a private Christian
Retreat Center. The owners want anyone hiking the trails to check in at the office first. ( owners, and office staff are all friendly, and just want to know how many people actually know about the trails )

The trails make a nice loop, first down along several old railroad trestles above Saar Creek. then up a little to the old homestead ( curiously when I was out scouting, and walking the boundaries of Census Blocks last spring these trestles were the boundary line ) then a short climb to the lookout.
I followed the old trail to the second lookout. with a little off trail wandering around the area maybe a 4 mile loop with not a lot of elevation gain. lots of green ferns, and later bigleaf maples, and views out to farms, and the saltwater
Little lambs and mamas along the way (taken from my bike ride to the trail)
farm fields

Treena,

I figure you don't speak Italian as I don't have mind reading powers- :)
So, where is this intriquing place that you share with us? Please tell, because it sounds interesting! Grazie!
