- Water on trail
This hike is a beautiful walk through some gorgeous old growth. The trail is well maintained and the hike is easy and great for kids. The water on the trail is during the steep downhill part just before the end. A small stream alongside the trail comes over onto it for about half the hill. The hill is still easily walked without any trouble.
Because of the recent rains the rocks at the end of the trail on top of the cliffs overlooking the roaring rapids are very slick. Kids (and adults) should beware.
There are a couple of areas where there are trees over the trail but it appears they are intentionally left there for the fun of it, they are easy enough to get under and are not a problem. Actually the kids loved climbing under, around and on these trees.
