Was feeling lazy, so i went for a slow stroll along the lime kiln trail. There is a small blow down a few hundred yard in. I'm supurised that it has not been removed yet, it's been there a few months now.
As the trail winds by Hubbard Lake there is the sound of rushing water. I decided to investigate this time, so i pushed my way through the salmon berry brush and found a small water fall.
Plenty of signs of spring, buzzing insects, some wild flowrers are blooming, and some leaves are beggining to grow. As it is spring the trail is muddy.
I did bump into something that bugged me. Near the kiln, mixed in with the historical artifacts scattered about is a clear plastic tarp laying under a vine mapple. There were no clear plastic tarps during the time period form 1892 to the 1930's. It is of no historical signifance, except for evidence of some apathetic camper who obvislouly did not care for the area.
Pack it in-pack it out!
