Region: Olympics -- East
Trails: Buckhorn Lake (#845)
Avg Rating: 2.75
I hiked the Tubal Cain Mine Trail and the Buckhorn Lake Trail last week. The trails were in good shape. There was a small patch of snow to hike around as you begin the descent of the Tubal Cain Trail to the junction of Marmot Pass but it wasn't too bad to get around. There is a sign nailed to a tree letting you know of the Buckhorn Lake Trail. That trail was in good shape as well. Encountered alot of grasshoppers when hiking out in the open along the meadows. Good scenery all around. Unless you stop at Buckhorn Lake, there is no water available after the camp sites at Tubal Cain.
