Falls from observation deck at end of stairs - Michael J. O'Connell
This was our first time on Twin Falls trail and we had a very pleasant surprise. The proximity to the river with periodic view points made the hike interesting from the start. The switchbacks were minor and the trail was well groomed. The falls were spectacular and well worth the hike. Be sure to take the stairs on the right as you get near the falls. They lead to an observation deck where you can thoroughly enjoy the falls from a unique vantage point. We recommend this hike for all ages and abilities in spite of the elevation gain. Just take it at your own pace when necessary.

Dog Mountain (May 23)

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
