Start time: Late - 1:45 pm from trailhead.
Weather: Initially filtered sun, then overcast.
Snow: The was only snow for about 200 vertical feet beginning at about 4000 ft. However, taking the standard trail one can totally avoid all open slope snow. (Many seem unaware that the trail jogs to the left at the bottom of the first (and currently the only) open snow slope. The 200 vertical feet of snow on the trail is like concrete steps with a little ice in spots.
Gear: no gaiters or traction devices needed. Trekking poles were handy for occasional steep areas with wet earth and for icy spots.
Bugs: A few were around.
Companions: None. :-(
Times: Car to summit - 2:50 hours; car to car - 5:10 hours.
