Even on a "less than perfect" day, this trail is wonderful. Mr. Sun made token appearances, today, but the forest canopy on the trail kept me dry dispite the mist and drizzle that Mother Nature provided, today. I started on the southern end of the trail, just above Baker Dam. There were several blowdowns on the trail, but all are easily crossed without much effort. Maple Grove campground needs some sweeping and minor clean-up, which should be taken care of by the troop of Boyscouts heading there to overnight that I passed on my way out, but Anderson Creek Campground was suprizingly neat. Flowers are starting to come out, but only finding one or two. My personal favorite, the trillium, has yet to make an appearance. This is a wonderful trail for this time of year, and one that most can do, because of the small elevation gain and loss.

Swamp lanterns, one of my personal favorites, are fresh and bright, right now.
