We had difficulty finding the trailhead from the Huntzinger road. A gated road had a sign small sign back from the road, but the gate was closed so we proceeded up a road just to the north that took us to a small parking area about fifty feet from a sign-in kiosk that one of our hawk eyed hikers discovered.
After hiking about a two miles we were surprised to see nice parking lot and well maintained restroom which appeared to be the actual trailhead. We continued on checking out the townsite of Doris and about another half mile wher we had lunch and turned around.
