Gorgeous Monday to head to Staircase and hike the North Fork Skokomish trail. We encountered several downed trees, one massive tree between Slide Camp and Spike Camp. The downed tree was probably 6-7 feet in diameter. We ran into steady snow at Spike Camp (3.5 miles in) and turned around.
