This was a very relaxed hike last Sunday. The climb to the lake is not too strenuous but very steady. The trail is very good condition without any issues, should be doable for almost anyone in reasonable shape.
Just look out for the right parking at the trailhead. The description in my bbook was somehow confusing and we parked at Larabee State Park. Fragrance Lake is signposted there but you walk along a forest road which is not too bad but the actual trail is nicer. The parking for that is about half a mile further down the road.
