This trail is beautiful. Between the two of us we took over a thousand pictures. The river is at times raging white and loud and in other places it is green and calm. There is much lush moss and pretty trees. The log bridges are neat, sturdy but still a little scary. The lakes are nice. And almost no bugs right now=) We went past the 2nd lake, to a nice beachy camping area. Just past there the trail heads UP and there is more snow than the easy patches up to the lakes. We were about 3 miles from the trailhead when we decided to head back.
Just past the second lake cross two close bridges and watch for a "toilet" sign on a tree that points the way if you need to go. There will be a second sign to help you find it.
