Why You Should Go Now: Wildflowers blooming

Weather was partially sunny with slight rain on and off, perfect for hiking. Had a great time with the Tacoma Mountaineers learning basic scrambles skills. Off-trail some areas with loose rock and slippery. Not too technical, very fun!

May have left an iPhone with purple case in parking lot - please comment if found.

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
