Cooper River
Two hours' drive to the trailhead from Bellevue. A few cars and a couple of people getting ready when we arrived at 11AM. TH is easily accessible with a regular car, even with some potholes on the 1/2 mile stretch from the campground.
Trail is in great shape until it got covered by snow after about 2.3 miles. We think we turned around after 3 miles, because we didn't get to the road or the lake. We got tired of snow walking and our dog was punching through.
Beautiful trillium grace both sides of the trail, on and off, in patches of white and pink. Indian Paintbrush early on, but not seen much after the first 1/2 mile. Several small clusters of calypso orchids (I think that's what they're called). Some lupine in the first 1/4 mile. We saw a Western Tanager, heard a warbler, among many song birds. Also spotted a pair that I can't identify: Cassins Finch or Redpoll or Ruby Kinglet or Chirping Sparrow. I didn't get a good enough look to remember more that a reddish crown.

Sorry, I am posted my report late but we did the cooper river trail on Friday 6/1 and we made the lake only because we had been there before.
