Why You Should Go Now
Wildflowers blooming
Starting the switchbacks.
After enjoying a full day at the Leavenworth Bike and Brews mountain bike race at Freund Canyon a group of us went for a day hike up Icicle Ridge. The trail is a great, easy to get to hike of easy to moderate difficulty depending on your ability.
The climb is steady and has plenty of views as you go up. Water is found twice in the first third of the hike but after that it's dry.
Trail conditions are great and the tread is in good shape. For a full report, pictures and a video of the view from the summit you can go here: http://www.adventuresofscatman.com/[…]/.

Red Top Lookout

Snoqualmie Pass

Whether you're camping near Cle Elum or just want a prime picnic location for a short Saturday hike, you'll only have to climb a mile on this steep, easy-to-follow trail to get stunning views from a fire lookout (and cool alpine outhouse). It can be great for kids, but keep them close on the exposed summit.
