Road to trailhead inaccessible
Approx 2000# boulder
FS Road 4060 is blocked by a large boulder. There is Not enough room to safely drive around it......I visited with the Velot Ranger Station and emailed them the picture of the boulder. They said they would see what they can do to get it removed. I hope they are able to get the funds to get it removed. The weather was lousy today so I couldn't justify the extra 4 miles I would have to hike to get to the lakes.

I just took this road on a whim to see where it went. I wasnt sure how long the road was or what was at the end of it. I went about 4-5 miles and was so high up I got nervous! The road started getting a little overgrown and seemed a lot more narrow and since I wasnt sure how much further this road actually went, I decided to turn around. GOod to know that there actually is something at the end of the road and it sounds like I wasnt too far off, but I did not run into any snow so I guess I wasnt THAT close....
