Awesome day for this trail! It's pretty muddy on the way, and there's snow on the trail the last 50 meters or so. Lots of little creeks to see on the way. Waterfalls at the top going into Lake 22.
The snow on the trail is passable. You don't really need trekking poles for it, but they could help. There is about 3 feet or so of snow covering the boardwalk all the way around the lake.
