Started out around 9am for a hike with the Mountaineer's Basic Wildernes Travel class. The road to the trail head is a well maintained gravel road with only a few potholes. When we arrived at the trailhead there was about 4 other cars in the parking lot. We had 10 people in our party and keep a slow to medium-slow pace which was good because the trail was very wet and also muddy in places. Lots of waterflow across the trail in places. Also, there were several stream crossings. There was snow on the the last 1/4 mile of the trail before and at the lake. I was glad to have my hiking poles.
