A nice little lake
A nice short walk in the woods! No snow until the top, then patches on the trail until you reach the far end. There are 2 large snowbanks, larger than they look from the outlet stream. Rough soft snow, lots of postholing. We did OK with poles. The debris from the Sat storm is all over the snow, it smelled like a Christmas tree lot. We were the only car at the trailhead and had the lake to ourselves when we got there. We met a few groups going in as we were coming out, including the trail crew. Weather was better than expected.

Red Top Lookout

Snoqualmie Pass

Whether you're camping near Cle Elum or just want a prime picnic location for a short Saturday hike, you'll only have to climb a mile on this steep, easy-to-follow trail to get stunning views from a fire lookout (and cool alpine outhouse). It can be great for kids, but keep them close on the exposed summit.
