Awesome hike.
It is short(5.4 miles round trip), but there's an elevation of 1500 feet in just 2 miles and thus it is a decent workout. The trail is really pretty due to the Research Natural Area. But the real reward is at the end. The lake was spectacular, half covered in snow and fog creating magic. And to think that this was the same weekend as the heat wave in the rest of the country.
Pacific NorthWest, i love you so much in Summer :)
