Snow on trail
This is the perfect time to hike this trail. There's still a little bit of snow on the road before the trailhead, but you don't have to walk very far. There were some snow patches on the trail, but overall it wasn't bad. I would imagine at least a few of those snow patches will be gone by tomorrow.

This was my first time hiking this trail. What a great trail for a sunny day! I liked how open it was for washington. Bugs were minimal. My dog chased one of those mountain weasels that scream like little girls. Those things are huge. I got passed by this smoking hot lady and my dog tried to ditch me to go hike with her. I don't blame her. I wish I was cute enough to pull that off like she is. I beat that girl back to the parking lot though so that's good.

Mountain Weasels

The weasel is actually a Marmot and there are a lot of them in the higher mountains. They scream as a warning to others when danger is near. Did you make it all the way to the top where the old lookout use to be and is there snow down by the lake? I want to head up there soon but I've been wating for a trail report that says the trail is snow free all the way to the top.

The mountain weasel thing was a joke. I didn't realize there was actually an animal called the mountain weasel.

I did make it to the top, but I didn't see a lake. I'd imagine I saw what was probably the lake covered by snow. There's still some snow. I'd wait at least another week.
