It was a beautifull hike and very nice and cool since most of it is in the trees and it was very hot in the sun. I went with my wife, 16month old son, and Thumper our mountain dog. The dog enjoyed the lake, i wish we could have however the bugs were so terrible they literaly sent us running. As soon as we got to the water and stopped the bugs swarmed us. It was absolutely miserable and turned a nice sunny day hike into a mad dash to get back to the car. This would be a nice short hike and great scenery if the bugs werent heating you alive. The rest of the trail was good with just a couple muddy spots that we had to trouble crossing.
