This hike is a popular one! But there are numerous reasons for it's popularity. It's a 40 minute drive from Auburn/Federal Way, the views astound, and it's short enough to squeeze in during a free afternoon or evening.
I spent 38 minutes (rather quickly) hiking up the trail and just under a half hour coming down.
Note that there are three ledges. Although you'll be tired of walking uphill and tempted to stop after viewing the area from the first ledge, continue on to the second and third. I was there this evening and, although the trail itself was fairly busy, no one even came by the third ledge during the 45 minutes I spent there. And the view is even better!
No snow, water, or blowdowns- a great family hike.
