An oridinary hike in north bent, we passed through a lot of forest before reaching the falls. The river can be reached by following a small trail down to it, easily. From here you have great views of the waters and forest. The hike was easy to follow up until the point where we thought there was one more waterfll to see, so we continued on and found ourselves far into another trail at some point. We had to ask, and turned around back towards to waterfalls. They should put a sign up there, "end of trail".

Dog Mountain (May 23)

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
