Why You Should Go Now
Wildflowers blooming
Alright! So it was my husband's birthday yesterday and we decided to the rattlesnake trail together. We started at about 9:30 am and reached the top of the trail in 42 mins. (2 minutes break for some water). The view at the top was absolutely breath-taking. The lake looked truly stunning and we rested for about 15 min at the top of a huge rock to replenish ourselves with some food and juice. In total, we completed the trail in about 1.5 hours which my friends say is good. There weren't many people on the trail although we did meet up with a little group of college kids at the top. A very well-maintained trail. All in all, a wonderful experience. My suggestion would be - Go for it, this hike would give you the most beautiful view from the top. It's going to be Mt.Si next for us. Looking forward to posting some good reviews once we get that done. Cheers!

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
