- Why You Should Go Now
- Wildflowers blooming
The flowers are out and the views are amazing! The trail switchbacks up a steep slope full of wildflowers. The trail is in good shape all the way until you cross over to the back side of the mtn. After you cross a few small snow patches, you will come to a wide bare spot amoung a few trees. Unless you are comfortable on snow and like climbing around on rocks with a steep drop off, you will want to stop here and take in the magnificent views. Otherwise, cross the snowfield and scramble up any boulder for even better views, but BE CAREFUL, there are loose rocks and it's a looonnng way down. Get there early to beat the crowds. The road is steep, but in good shape.
