I am new to hiking and this was my 3 hike this summer. There were a few challenging spots were the terrain was rocky and steep, felt like I was back on the stairstepper at the gym.. but it was such a great surprise to see the lake, enjoy the scenary, meet some other hikers, it was all worth it.
I came down feeling a sense of accomplishment!
I recommend to all level of hikers, even saw some kids on the trail.

Looking for warm, dry hiking with stunning views and a post-hike swim? Climb to the top of Steamboat Rock and ramble the butte top for dramatic views of Banks Lake and coulee country. Desert wildflowers and camping options sweeten the deal.
