A perfect hike for a hot day! We scrapped our original plan and opted instead for a cool, easy river walk. It was a crisp 80 degrees at the trail head as we started our hike. Yes, the road has a lot of potholes, but if you've been on many Forest Service roads around here, I can guarantee you that you've experienced MUCH worse. Berries are starting to ripen along the trail. We sampled a few on our way back to the car.
