We started on the Snow Lake trail head. We took it slowly, so it took us 7 hours till we had hiked up to Snow Lake and set our tents up. The water gushing out of the Snow Lake dam is very impressive.
The next morning, we started at 6a toward the Enchantments. Serious scramble, we were happy that we didn't have to make that part with our big backpacks. The area is so beautiful. The water is very cold, so be very careful when you swim.
The way back was the really gruel part, it seemed to take forever to get to the trail head again. If you have any chance and get the permits make this a three-day hike at least.
