Paddy Go Easy Pass was the destination for delivery of ice cream to a WTA Youth Crew that had been working on the trail all week.

The temperatures were ideal, the views were plentiful, and the kids loved the ice cream! This is a long hot trail generally, but with the breeze, it was quite comfortable. It took our group 2 1/2 hours up and 2 1/4 hours down with a beautiful hour at the pass. Two of our group continued over the Sprite Lake.

All the grading, new rock wall, and water treatments were completed by the Youth Crew and they had wonderful stories about their week at work!

NOTE: The access road is in very poor shape and I would suggest waiting until the road is graded to do this hike. It took us an hour to drive 12 miles from pavement end to Paddy go Easy Pass trail head through car-eating potholes.

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
