Interesting hike through the sagebrush on jeep tracks. My wife & I did this hike today as the weather on the West side of the mountains was mediocre and we wanted a change of pace from hiking in the woods all summer. I wouldn't drive from Seattle to do this hike and then go back to Seattle. Make it a day and why not visit Wenatchee and/or Yakima. We picked up some great deals on fresh apples in Wenatchee on our way home and visited Ohme Gardens in Wenatchee. It made for a great day as the weather was sunny and warm and the scenery on the drive was excellent. Now back to the hike. We didn't see much wildlife except for a few birds, about a hundred small lizards that were incredibly fast, and some trout in the last lake. Thankfully we didn't see any rattlesnakes. We did the hike in a counter clockwise direction and visited four lakes that were each a bit different in color and size. We hiked all the way to the far waterfall and got some nice pictures. All in all, not a bad hike but probably best to do it earlier in the year.
