Why You Should Go Now
Wildflowers blooming
Kendall Katwalk
We hiked from the PCT trailhead in Snoqualmie Pass to the Kendall Katwalk and then Gravel Lake. The trail is very well maintained and has great switchbacks all the way up making it an easy grade. The wildflowers are still blooming right now, although probably not for much longer. The huckleberries are not ripe up high yet - probably a couple more weeks.

Dog Mountain (May 23)

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
