- Why You Should Go Now
- Wildflowers blooming
- Ripe berries
The trail is mostly clear. There is the common snow patch by Panorama Point which can be avoided by climbing an adding 0.5 mile to the hike. We did it since the wife wanted to avoid the patch. Two other small snow patches (50-70 ft long) but easy to cross. Saw a bear, and a few deer. Bears are climbing as the berries are ripening at higher elevations.
Flowers are on their way down; they were at their peak probably a 2-4 weeks ago.
School starts this week in the area, visitor numbers should be down considerably.
