The weather was great this day and really enjoyed the hike. My first time hiking in the Washington area, recently moved from Hawaii.

Great views as well, after getting to the lake go around to the other side of the lake and at the top is where the really nice view is.
There was a bit of fog rolling into the lake area, but it was off and on so I just had to wait five minutes and it would clear up.

This hike was on a Saturday so the parking lot was pretty full.
I had no idea about the road condition, on FR 7810. It's a dirt road, a bit rough and you have to go a slow in a car. It would be ideal to go in a truck or SUV, but I was also driving up in a brand new compact car.

Overall it was a great hike and glad to experience it on my first time out here in the area.
