Intended to hike to Grand Prospect from Snoqualmie Pt but encountered a cougar crossing the trail above Stan's Overlook just before Owen Creek at about 11:45, so decided to turn back.

Trail is in good shape but there is evidence that mountain bikers have been using the trail. Encountered two mountain bikers on the same trail on Thanksgiving. The trail is hikers only and has signs at each gate prohibiting MB's. Anybody else aware of MB problem? Any suggestions on how to deal with them?

Last year I found evidence of motorcycles having been on the trail. I got the DNR phone # from the North Bend Ranger Station and had to go through about three parties until I finally contacted the guy that does something about problems like this. He went up to where they were entering the trail and added signage and barricading. They were coming in about 3/4 mi. past Grand Prospect where the trail gets real close to rhe road. Unfortunately, I didn't hang onto any of the names or numbers.
