There is a well-groomed, flat loop for those who want some snow and sledding easily reached from Seattle without the hassle of elevation change. Next, the push up to Source Lake is well trodden. The final crawl up to the ridge goes through so many temperature zones that at times it is slushy, then icy, then crusty, then fluffy. Stay as far to the right as you can and avoid the obvious avalanche tracks. Views at the top were spectacular. I opted against heading down to the lake this time. Snow Lake is covered in snow and many (brave) snowshoers have been walking around it.
